Quiet Time with God

By Joyce Meyer

Scripture O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer]. - Psalm 95:6 (AMP)

Worship Is Powerful Worship is an important part of any quiet time with God. Sometimes, when we are going through something difficult, stress and frustration try to keep us from worshiping God. It’s easy to get so preoccupied with our problems that we forget the promises of God.

But when we remember the goodness, mercy, and faithfulness of God, it is easy to worship Him. As you spend time with God, be sure that you fellowship with Him, not with your problems. Remember, God is good even when our circumstances are not.

Worshiping God helps us win our battles. Satan is not afraid of our worry, but he is afraid of our worship.

Today’s Thought: Throughout the day in the midst of all you have to do, pause briefly and simply whisper, “Lord, I love You!” To read: Luke 4:8; Psalm 96:9

Prayer StarterGod, thank You for all the ways You’ve come through when I needed You, and for bringing me so far. Please give me the strength I need to choose to worship while You’re working on

my situation. In Jesus’ name, amen.
